A elegant pair of earrings featuring natural sugilite gemstone beads. The opaque purple stones are set and accented with whimsical wire work in sterling silver. The earrings are hung on sterling silver ear wires and packaged in a hand-stamped gift box. These tasteful earrings are a lovely choice for the woman who is inspired by the powerful and beautiful creations of nature.
Each piece is made-to-order, and the photos shown are examples of the piece you will receive. Your jewelry will be made with the same wire work technique and same size and quality of stone. There will be natural variation in the colors and patterns of the stones, as well as variation due to the handmade nature, ensuring that your jewelry is truly unique!
Sugilite is a dark purple to pinkish stone, which was first described in Japan in 1944. Metaphysically, it is thought of as a powerful stone to help you let go of the past. With an open mind this stone can help you move forward in a positive way.
SIZE: Each earring is approximately 1 1/4" x 5/16". Please also see the fourth photo for a size reference.

CLEANING: Each piece of jewelry also comes with a non-tarnish strip that prevents tarnish by absorbing and trapping the sulfides and other pollutants in the air. If kept in a sealed bag or jewelry box with your silver jewelry the strip will prevent tarnishing for approximately 6 months. Sugilite is a softer gemstone which should not be cleaned of tarnish in silver cleaners, some of the tarnish can be removed with polishing cloths, yet darkening can create an attractive antique patina look. Dust and debris can be removed with a debris soap, warm water, and a gentle toothbrush.
EAR WIRES: These earrings are hung on sterling silver ear wires, which are generally non-irritating. If you are allergic to silver just send me a message and I can change your ear wires to titanium wires, which are slightly darker but hypoallergenic.
