An elegant pair of earrings featuring natural lapis lazuli gemstone beads. The deep blue stones are set and accented with tasteful wire work in sterling silver. The earrings are hung on sterling silver ear-wires and packaged in hand-stamped gift box. Lapis is a powerful gemstone with a rich history, and these earrings add extra whimsical flair to it's timeless magic.
Each piece is made-to-order, and the photos shown are examples of the piece you will receive. Your jewelry will be made with the same wire work technique and same size and quality of stone. There will be natural variation in the colors and patterns of the stones, as well as variation due to the handmade nature, ensuring that your jewelry is truly unique!
Lapis is a deep blue semi-precious stone that includes flakes of pyrite which give off a golden shine. Jewelry made of lapis has been found at archaeological sites in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. It was used for amulets and scarabs, with are beetle symbols representing the sun god, Ra, and transformation. Metaphysically, lapis is believed to help ground the user, and improve concentration and focus.
SIZE: Each earring is approximately 1 1/4" x 5/16".
EAR WIRES: These earrings are hung on sterling silver ear wires, which are generally non-irritating. If you are allergic to silver just send me a message and I can change your ear wires to titanium wires, which are slightly darker but hypoallergenic.

CLEANING: Silver will naturally darken, or tarnish, due to reactions with sulfides in the air. Each piece of Kosmic Krystals' silver jewelry comes with a non-tarnish strip and bag that prevents absorbing and trapping the sulfides and other pollutants in the air. If kept in a sealed bag or jewelry box with your silver jewelry the strip will prevent tarnishing for approximately 6 months. Lapis is a softer, porous stone which should not be cleaned using any harsh silver or gemstone cleaners. Some tarnish can be removed with a polishing cloth, but deeper areas cannot be reached. However, this natural patina can give the piece an interesting antiqued look. Any dirt and debris can be easily removed with a gentle toothbrush and warm soapy water.
