This pendant features a bright carnelian gemstone bead wire wrapped intricately in dark patina sterling silver wire. Skillful coils and spirals of wire turn the stone bead into a lovely necklace. The silver has been given a dark color, known as "patina", through oxidation using a sulfur solution. It was then polished to restore highlights in the raised areas, enhancing the details of the wire work.
