Elegant wire work earrings featuring natural tiger's eye gemstone beads. The golden brown stones are strung and accented with tasteful wire work in sterling silver. The earrings are hung on sterling silver ear-wires and packaged in a hand-stamped gift box. Each piece is made-to-order, and the photos shown are examples of the piece you will receive. Your jewelry will be made with the same wire work technique and same size and quality of stone. There will be natural variation in the colors and patterns of the stones, as well as variation due to the handmade nature, ensuring that your jewelry is truly unique!
Tigers Eye is an earth-tone stone with "chatoyancy" or "cat's eye effect", which is a lovely shimmer created by reflectance of light off fibrous minerals within the stone. Tigers Eye is thought of as a stone of protection, and was used throughout the ages as a talisman against ill wishes. It believed to be a strong grounding stone, and to increase creativity and positive thoughts.
SIZE: Each earring is approximately 1 1/4" x 5/16". Please also see the fourth photo for a size reference.
EAR WIRES: The earrings are hung on sterling silver ear-wires, which are generally non-irritating. However, if you know you are allergic to sterling silver, I can change the ear wires to titanium or surgical steel. Please, just leave a note at checkout.
CLEANING: Silver will naturally darken, or tarnish, due to reactions with sulfides in the air. Each piece of Kosmic Krystals' silver jewelry comes with a non-tarnish strip and bag that prevents absorbing and trapping the sulfides and other pollutants in the air. If kept in a sealed bag or jewelry box with your silver jewelry the strip will prevent tarnishing for approximately 6 months. Tiger's Eye is a porous stone which should not be cleaned using any harsh silver or gemstone cleaners. Some tarnish can be removed with a polishing cloth, but deeper areas cannot be reached. However, this natural patina can give the piece an interesting antiqued look. Any dirt and debris can be easily removed with a gentle toothbrush and warm soapy water.
