Large white cultured coin pearl wire work pendant. The 20mm white coin pearl bead is strung and accented with elegant swirls and spirals of silver. The pendant includes a silver plated-copper chain and comes packaged in a hand-stamped gift box. Cultured pearls are created by planting a small shell in an oyster of mussel, causing a pearl to develop around the irritant. In Hindu culture, pearls are associated with the moon and are symbols of love and purity. Pearls have also been a symbol of class and elegance for centuries. This pendant preserves the tasteful beauty of pearls while adding a unique flair to the classic style.
CHAIN: This sterling silver pendant is hung on an 1.2mm silver-plated copper snake chain. Eventually the silver coating will wear off, revealing some copper color. Many people like specific styles, widths, and lengths for their chains, and often have jewelry boxes filled with their favorite chains. Using plated copper chains frees customers from needing to purchase an expensive chain they will never wear in order to purchase a pendant they love. CLEANING: Silver will naturally darken, or tarnish, due to reactions with sulfides in the air. Each piece of Kosmic Krystals' silver jewelry comes with a non-tarnish strip and bag that prevents absorbing and trapping the sulfides and other pollutants in the air. If kept in a sealed bag or jewelry box with your silver jewelry the strip will prevent tarnishing for approximately 6 months. Pearls should not be cleaned using any harsh silver or gemstone cleaners. Some tarnish can be removed with a polishing cloth, but deeper areas cannot be reached. However, this natural patina can give the piece an interesting antiqued look. Any dirt and debris can be easily removed with a gentle toothbrush and warm soapy water.
