Rutilated Quartz Pendant in Patina Sterling Silver
This necklace features a rutilated quartz gemstone wire wrapped in dark silver. The clear and golden stone is accented with swirls and spirals of dark patina sterling silver wire. The pendant is hung on an adjustable black cord and packaged in a hand-stamped gift box.
SILVER PATINA: The silver has been given a dark color, known as "patina", through oxidation using a sulfur solution. It was then polished to restore highlights in the raised areas, enhancing the details of the wire work. CLEANING: Due to the patina you never really need to polish your silver, however you can enhance the highlights periodically by wiping the piece with a silver polishing cloth or baking soda. Any dirt and debris can be easily removed with a gentle toothbrush and warm soapy water.
